Nilay Rathod is an assistant professor in the Department of English at Gyanmanjari Innovative University, Bhavnagar. His teaching and research span postcolonial studies, science fiction, world literature, and contemporary literary theory, with a strong focus on active learning and innovative pedagogy.
He is currently pursuing a PhD on Forbidden Anime: A Cultural Critique of Social Sensitivities at the Department of English, Maharaja Krishnakumarsinhji Bhavnagar University. His doctoral research explores how anime intersects with culture, censorship, and social taboos.
Alongside academics, he mentors literature clubs, organizes film screenings, and curates interdisciplinary projects that connect literature with lived experience. His work reflects a commitment to making literature a dynamic dialogue between text, culture, and society.
